Treaty Rights, Tribal History and Civic Education
Honor the Treaty of 1864 is a tribal member-led nonprofit dedicated to educating, empowering, and informing the Klamath, Modoc, and Yahooskin Paiute community. Through research, educational resources, and community programs, we work to increase understanding of treaty rights, tribal history, sovereignty, and governance while supporting the protection of tribal rights and resources.
About Honor the Treaty of 1864
Founded in 2014, Honor the Treaty of 1864 is an independent, tribal member-led nonprofit organization focused on protecting tribal rights and resources through education, research, and community engagement.
Our work includes treaty rights education, tribal history, constitutional governance, water rights, and youth educational programs. We develop resources and opportunities that help tribal citizens understand their rights, participate in tribal governance, and preserve knowledge for future generations.
